 'Time Out'

An informal gathering for anyone in the Parish 

Held in the Village Hall every other Monday afternoon between 1.45pm and 3pm. Generally the first and third Monday in each month.

Come along and have a cup of tea and a piece of cake, there are activities if you wish to partake....  or just read your paper.  

Everyone welcome, the more the better, age is no barrier......

The society holds an annual show every August (the Saturday before bank holiday) at Malborough Village Hall and a Spring Show in March at West Alvington Village Hall, and strives to provide interesting afternoons out for the local community. Classes are for vegetables, fruit, flowers, floral art, preserves, cookery, handicrafts, photography and for juniors. All schedules have been despatched for 2019 but if you would like one please contact Keith as above.

We also hold various fund raising events throughout the year, to further provide the necessary funds, but also to offer a happy social occasion for all to enjoy.

Great News in 2019

All the necessary remedial works have now been carried out and the bells can once again be safely rung. They are usually rung on the third Sunday in the month for the 9.30am service and the Tower Captain is Paul Adams

The WI meet in the Ring of Bells (West Alvington) at 7.30pm  on the 2nd Tuesday each month (except August).

There are speakers most months.

Ring O'Bells Events

Sat 23rd March.... live music by Nick The Fish ... 2100hrs to 2300hrs
Sun 31st March....Mothers Day ...  All mothers get a free pud with carvery.

Fri 5th April ...      Meal for the Village ...  All welcome  - 7.00 pm
                     These are themed nights and this one was Italian food
                     They are always a set price per person.  Booking is necessary.
                         (These nights happen approx every six weeks so are an ideal
                          way of meeting people or just catching up with friends)

Sat 6th April...       live music by Ben Carr ..  2100hrs to 2300hrs.
Sat 27th April ...    live music by Ian Boyd .. 2100hrs to 2300hrs
                                this is one not to miss.
Fri 10th May....     live music by Chill..   2100hrs to 2300hrs
                             (They come all the way from Dorchester)
Sat 1st June...       live music by Rip Tide ... 2100 to 2300 hrs

For all live music please keep an eye on the advertising boards at the front of the pub

We also do a cider and music festival on the August bank holiday weekend.

And not to forget our firework display in November.
